Terms & Conditions

When booking a recording session at Dead Moon Audio you are entering into a contract in which you agree to the following:

Payment

Deposits can be made online. The remainder of payment can be made with cash, credit/debit card or through online services, such as a PayPal. It is the responsibility of the artist to cover the cost of each session in full either in advance or at the start of the session. A 50% deposit is required to confirm all bookings. This deposit is refundable up to two weeks in advance of the date of the session. After such time, the deposit is no longer refundable or transferable.

The remainder of the studio bill should be paid in full at the start of the session. No shows that have paid a deposit will result in loss of monies and studio time and is non refundable.

Failure to produce full payment will result in the studio withholding session time, all copies of recordings, masters or session files until all fees have been paid and funds have cleared. If the recording session is broken up over a period of time (24hrs+), payment will be required either in advance or in installments to cover time that has been used. Dead Moon Audio reserves the right to implement these payment terms where applicable. All session files are deleted from Dead Moon Audio hard drives 30 days after session completion unless otherwise specified. A backup storage device is required if you require to transfer your data.

Time spent setting up, for meal breaks and resolving minor technical issues is considered to be a normal part of a recording session and will not be deducted from the overall rental. Exceptional technical issues will be handled on a case-by-case basis and a refund of the rental cost can be considered.

Studio Security / Door policy

When leaving the studio after your session, please ensure that ALL doors are completely shut and locked. Any theft or damages that occur as a result of the door being left open will be chargeable to the artist/band.

Personal Items / Lost Property

Please make sure that you do not leave personal items unattended and ensure that you take all of your belongings with you when you leave. Dead Moon Audio is not responsible for any personal items that are lost or damaged on the premises.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the studio. If you leave the premises to smoke, please ensure that you are a safe distance from the studio and that your stubs are disposed of appropriately.

Food & Drink

You are permitted to bring your own food and drink into the studio. However, this must not be placed on any of the equipment under any circumstances. Please store your food and drink in the Lounge. Any damage caused to studio equipment due to spillages and negligence with food and drink will be charged to the artist/band. Please help us to keep the studio tidy by placing any rubbish in the trash bins provided.

FEES

There is a $100, nonrefundable clean-up fee applied to sessions where Dead Moon Audio staff sees applicable (excessive trash, food leftovers, etc).
